Welcome to Cultura Wellness! My name is Jessica. I am a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Biologist.
I support, educate, and encourage clients to achieve a healthier long-term lifestyle. Gut health is my primary focus, and I enjoy finding the root cause of digestive issues to help my clients achieve fulfillment. Everything at Cultura Wellness is science-based information, primarily focused on holistic remedies.
In 2015, I was in college working on my Biology degree with the end goal of becoming a pharmacist. I worked in a pharmacy for several years before learning more about how Big Pharma and doctors prescribe medications. I witnessed many clients who were prescribed multiple medications coming to the checkout counter with little knowledge of what medications they were on or why the medications were not working.
Several of these clients would stand at the counter with a cart full of junk food. I started to realize doctors were not taking the time to ask clients about their diet or if there were other stressful events occurring in their life causing their symptoms to become more severe. The doctors would prescribe another medication to mask the new symptoms or side effects.
This is when I realized I was in the wrong field and felt the need to become a health coach. I felt a calling to educate clients on the important effects of nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. After graduation, I quit my pharmacy job and decided to travel internationally via backpacking. While traveling, I volunteered at local farms and restaurants and immersed myself in the culture of each place I stayed in. I wanted to fully embrace different walks of life and nutrition. While traveling, I met so many people that inspired me to help others live the healthiest lifestyle without the burden of materialistic things.
That is when I decided to go to school to obtain my integrative nutrition degree with an emphasis on gut health. My aim was to support and educate people in finding the root cause of their digestive issues and to customize a holistic healing journey for them.
If you are experiencing digestive issues or would like to restore your lifestyle in a holistic way, please reach out to me for a free 30 minute discovery call.

I am an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach certified by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. To obtain this accreditation, I attended the institution's online program based in New York. The school is known for its incredibly diverse curriculum and well-organized student support system. The program educated me about mind, body, and self-care in a holistic, natural way. I am excited to offer you the same wisdom I spent years learning how to live a more holistic lifestyle.
In addition to my health coach certification, I have a Bachelor's of Biology from the University of Minnesota that I obtained prior to my health coaching education. This degree allowed me to understand chemical reactions in the human body that occur from eating nutritious foods and the impact of obtaining an overall healthy lifestyle.
I started this company to further support, educate, and encourage clients mostly through their gut health so they can live a happy and healthier lifestyle. The primary focus at Cultura Wellness is to support clients in finding the root cause of their digestive issues. Through enrollment in the 6-month program, you will spend time discovering these root causes and we will create a personalized plan to achieve your specific goals.
Holistic Nutrition is a health care system based on evaluating the whole body through the nutritional, physical, environmental, emotional, and spiritual components in a person's life. It highlights personal responsibility and the cooperative relationship between me, the practitioner, and you, the client. Working with you on nutrition and lifestyle I help support your return to a state of healthy balance and well-being.
No, let me tell you about my food philosophy. My philosophy is based on a whole food diet (vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, lentils, nuts, and seeds) with an emphasis on Mediterranean cuisine along with an abundance of fermented foods. I am not vegetarian, vegan, or pescetarian, but I enjoy eating meals without meat a lot of the time. When I eat meat I try to make sure it is grass-fed, antibiotic, and hormone-free. I almost entirely eat organic food and consume cow's dairy in small amounts. I prefer goats, sheep, or aged dairy products since my body is able to digest them better. I am supportive of clients with lifestyle/diet restrictions and support each person's specific needs. I am able to carefully craft a plan around your dietary needs to accommodate different lifestyle restrictions. I love to cook cuisines from many places I have been and embrace the flavors of the world. One of my favorite things to do when traveling is to look inside someone's kitchen. I enjoy the forever journey of learning to cook the local cuisine.
I learned to cook at a young age when my parents' had us help them cook dinner. It wasn't always the healthiest meal, but it was always a great learning and bonding experience. I still enjoy cooking healthy meals with my mom and friends today.
Throughout my early years of college, I started to experience some digestive issues. The doctors thought I might have an allergy to gluten or dairy, but I ended up discovering I was lactose intolerant. At this time of my life, I was drinking a lot of milk and eating processed cheeses. After this diagnosis, I resorted to a dairy-free diet for several years.
Once I started to travel internationally, I realized it become harder to eat food without dairy. I slowly started introducing it back into my diet and was not experiencing any of the symptoms I had in college. I began to learn more about the lactose enzyme and the process of how cheese was made. In most international countries the cheese is commonly made from goat or sheep milk and is not as processed as cheese in the U.S. I came to the realization my digestive issues were coming from processed dairy products and continued to eat dairy products abroad without an issue.
Still to this day, I purchase and consume minimally processed dairy products without any issues. Ever since having these digestive issues while abroad, I taught myself how to cook, and it has since become one of my favorite things to do in life. It brings me so much joy to cook for others and talk about the health benefits of the meal we are cooking that night. I truly feel food is the greatest community builder there is!
Yes, I am currently accepting clients to enroll in a personalized 90-day Holistic Gut Blueprint program, other short-term consultation services, and bioenergetic testing.
